Andrew Shea

ASSOCIATE, aia

Andrew’s aspirations of becoming an engineer were dashed when he realized math was not one of his strengths. As a result, he pivoted into a career in Architecture, receiving his BArch from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and his MArch from the University of Virginia (UVA). While attending UVA, Andrew’s project Post Industrial Appalachia was part of the school’s winning submission to the 2017 Architect Magazine Studio Prize. As a registered Architect in Massachusetts, Andrew has worked extensively over the past 8 years on complex adaptive reuse projects for higher education, museum, and library clients. His passion for all things historic and vintage extends beyond architecture, as he can often be found wandering through a new city with a camera in hand, especially after dark working on his Nightlights series. Additionally, you can always find him out on the trails up in New Hampshire, skiing at Wildcat Mountain and hiking in the Whites through all four seasons.
