Ashley grew up in a small town in Texas but came to appreciate the Northeast's seasons in Troy, New York, where she completed her Bachelor of Architecture degree at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Her passion for architecture flourished on walks among Troy’s beautiful early 20th century architecture - small towns have their charms! At RPI, Ashley undertook interdisciplinary projects, which led to research-focused studios centering on environmental stewardship and sustainability, and the connections between occupants and their environments. Beyond architecture, Ashley is a skilled oil painter, using vibrant colors and dynamic brushwork to explore the intricate relationship between man and nature.
