Peter Kleiner

Managing Principal, AIA, LEED AP

Civic Practice Leader

Peter is the Managing Principal at Schwartz/Silver, overseeing day-to-day operations and leading the firm’s practice in Civic projects. He is a passionate advocate for the restoration and renewal of historic architecture and serves as a Commissioner on the Town of Brookline’s Preservation Commission. Peter also loves exploring, creating, and solving things; he spent his childhood playing with Legos (without instructions), drawing with Crayola, and watching Julia Child with his mother, where the kitchen became a magical place of experimentation, learning, and togetherness. These early lessons—mixing simple ingredients with care, developing craft, working intuitively and creatively—still apply to making transformative architecture. Peter believes that with the right materials, the right people, and the right effort, we can make something truly special.
