Praveen Menon

DESIGNER

As a high school senior who sought something between science and art, Praveen found architecture and never looked back. After studying architectural theory and history with a minor in visual art at Boston University, Praveen received his MArch from Cornell University AAP where his thesis, “The Ecumene of the In-Between,” studied the Peace Walls in Belfast, Northern Ireland, the intersection of language and architecture, and the possibilities of deconstructing border architectures. Praveen served as a Teaching Assistant at Cornell and taught graduate students as a Teaching Associate for the Cornell Foundations program. He was an invited critic at undergraduate and graduate design reviews at Cornell and at Wentworth Institute of Technology’s SummerFAB program. Praveen joined Schwartz/Silver after working in museum and cultural venue design in New York, Barcelona, and Copenhagen. Praveen is the Chief Editor and Director of Development of In//Border, an educational and professional mentorship initiative focused on uplifting the students of the El Paso / Ciudad Juárez borderlands region.
